Learning the Dance Steps

Don't Just Stand There...learn the steps!

The music is so compelling that it makes you want to move, no matter that you're a beginner! When I was inquiring about the best approach to learning how to dance, an experienced dancer suggested that it was important to learn the various dance steps as a first step (pun intended) prior to trying to learn the dances. Some of the steps used in Country Line (and couples dancing) are:

Jump Start Your Lessons!

As a novice dancer, I've found it very helpful to know in advance what dance(s) are scheduled to be taught at a club on a particular day or night. This let's me go online and look for videos of each of the dances, so I can get a head start on the lessons. Special thank you here goes out to Prospector‘s "Country Club" (Mount Laurel, NJ) dance instructor Vicki Cusack, who posts on their website each month the scheduled lessons.
